If you’ve filled out and submitted the information form found on the home page, then you’re one step closer to starting your Albany Beauty Academy Education!

When you visit Albany Beauty Academy to enroll, you will need to meet these requirements:

A Government picture ID
Social Security Card, valid Passport, Birth Certificate or Green Card
High School diploma or high school transcript showing high school completion, or a high school graduation equivalent OR An academic transcript of a student who has successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree,
Admission Application
$50.00 nonrefundable Application fee.

All foreign credentials must be translated into English, verified as a student’s high school diploma performed by an outside agency and confirm the academic equivalence to a U. S. High School diploma.

All Classes are 30 Clock Hours every week Full Time only Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm every week schedule

Additional Requirements

Cosmetology Instructor Program Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold an valid active Master Cosmetologist License
Must have a copy of your valid active Master Cosmetologist License to apply for the Cosmetology Instructor Program.

Barber Instructor Program Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold an valid active Master Barber License
Must have a copy of your valid active Master Barber License to apply for the Barber Instructor Program.

Esthetics Instructor Program Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold an valid active Esthetician License
Must have a copy of your valid active Esthetician License to apply for the Esthetics Instructor Program.

Nail Tech Instructor Program Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold an valid active Nail Technician License
Must have a copy of your valid active Nail Technician License to apply for the Nail Tech Instructor Program.

Albany Beauty Academy recognizes and accepts its obligations under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, prohibiting discrimination based on a disability and requiring Albany Beauty Academy to provide reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments to qualified disabled students in all programs and activities. Students have the responsibility to both self-disclose and request accommodation. Communication with faculty or other staff members does not constitute fulfilling Albany Beauty Academy ADA accommodation requirements.

Notify the Director in writing of the type of accommodation needed, date needed, documentation of
the nature and extent of the disability, and the need for the accommodation or auxiliary aid. The request should be given at least four weeks in advance of the date requested. Please contact the Director at the school phone number located on the cover of our catalog.
